Panther Glass - Shards of Heiner Müller

Synopsis

To mark the 30th anniversary of the German playwright’s death, we have decided to create a performance-visit-lightning-war into the universe of Heiner Müller. Fragments of his poetry and theatre will animate bodies, spaces, objects, masks, and even puppets. Aristocrats and dictators, soldiers, lovers, the living and the dead communicate with prominent figures of European mythology and culture against the backdrop of an East-West tension that Müller so aptly encapsulated. Panther Glass is a performance made of shards, of text fragments—on this discontinuous and kaleidoscopic journey, we light upon a Müller who is at once author and actor in the dramas he penned and lived through.
